Click on the Audience tab to open a list of your current app users.

A list of anonymous identifiers for your app users will be displayed on the page. For information about a specific user, click on that user’s name

After clicking on a user’s name, it will open the details view. (ALL users' information is collected when the user signs in to the mobile app. The information gained is based on the permissions the user has opted into and granted to the app.) On the left side, you will see their Engagement and Activity. This information is updated in real-time:

  • Number of Places Visited

  • Number of Messages Sent

  • Number of Messages Received

  • Number of Messages Opened

  • Goal Rate Percentage

The right side of the user details view shows the last time and place the user visited a designated geofence and the attributes that make up the user profile.

If you go back to the Audience dashboard, on the left you will see your list of Audiences and a blue Segment button. By clicking on this button, you will open a list of stock attributes. These attributes describe unique details related to user profiles, how users interact with campaigns, and places users have been. You can use these attributes to segment your app users. For example, you want to filter a customer by location permission and name.

Click on Segment and scroll down until you find the name filter & locationPermission filter, click on them. Hypothetically, you want to offer a promotion to a specific set of customers based upon name and whether they have location permission turned on.

This allows a specific promotion to reach a set of customers based on their name and location permission.

When you click on the name segment, a configure segment for name opens, click the bubble for 'contains' and enter the name of choice and click confirm

Then configure the filter for location permission by selecting the bubble that says, "is true”. Click confirm

In the Segmentation box, it will show you which segments you have applied, so you know exactly what filters you used to create your Audience. You can apply unlimited segments to an Audience.

When you are done applying segments, click the Save New Audience button and give your audience a name.

Your audience will now appear under the Audiences section on the left. This audience can now be targeted in your next message campaign.

How to Apply Audiences to Messages

When you create a new campaign and complete the steps described in the How to Create a Message article, you can apply one or more of your Audiences in Step 4 of creating your campaign. Type the name of the Audience into the input field and select the specified Audience to apply to your message.

You now have a firm handle on the Audience feature and how to navigate the use of this great tool. If you have any more questions, feel free to reach out to our support team at
